“Chasing the Sun” is the story of a small Tropical Radio DJ who is up for a Trop Rock music award in Key West. With the encouragement of his wild cousin, he lies to his fiancee to attend the awards and follow his dream, along the way meeting many of his tropical songwriting idols, who inspire him as he comes to a crossroad in his life.

I hope you can find spots in the movie for some of the current Trop Rock performers (you don’t need Buffett, but the others could use the exposure). thanks.

Hi Glenn,
Thanks so much!
We are definitely going to use a lot of current Trop Rock performers. I’m still working on who we’re going to use, but I’m looking forward to featuring them.

Hi Todd!
Yesterday, at the Jim Morris CD release concert my “honey” purchased some raffle tickets for me. I was busy catching up with a visiting friend and was not even aware of what the raffle was for. I was totally surprised when my ticket was pulled and I won a part in your movie! It’s less than 24 hours, but I now have “staff”, I’m working on a stage name, purchasing Sharpies and practicing my autographing skills 😉 I spend time in the islands several times a year and look forward to being part of your Trop Rock lifestyle creation.

I’ve been looking forward to this movie since I first heard about the project, but I never knew the premise. I have a Trop Rock show in little ol’ Charleston, West Virginia! “Trop Rock with Sailor Rob!” I’ve been doing my best to get the word, er – uh, MUSIC out as best I can for 2 years now – “We’re Nautical by Nature” and I love it! “Fair winds and following seas!”

I heard about this on Trop Rock Radio! I’m not in Key West, but I’m over on the Gulf Coast of Florida. How can I see this movie? Is it downloadable somewhere for purchase or viewing? Love the premise! Left my job and life back in Washington, DC 3 1/2 years ago to follow my dream to live in the subtropics and never looked back! Looking forward to seeing the movie!

Great choice of music. Looking forward to the release of “Chasing the Sun”.
Bob Bitchin of “Latitudes and Attitudes”/”Cruising Outpost” magazines, has a phrase that I live by. It goes: “Don’t dream your life, Live your dreams”.
Thus, that is where “Gary’s Island” became a reality. I bought my 3rd sailboat, just before retiring from UPS, and Named it; “Gary’s Island”.
I followed my dreams, and now sail when ever I want too, and tour the world playing music, among many other things.
Sincerely, Gary Haas.

Will there be a sequel?
Thanks,
